Paul Oakenfold Goa Mix (2 mixes)
Paul Oakenfold's classic 1994 offering, The Goa Mix (Gold and Silver) was the first time trance hit the clubing mainstream
The father of Trance, Paul Oakenfold pays homage to the birth place of his favoured sound. The most requested Essential Mix ever, has been taken from the achieves and given the SelectDJ treatment. This beautifully crafted set sounds as much like a movie soundtrack as it does a DJ mix. Inspiring stuff.

Remember recording this off Radio 1 and playing it till the tape got crunched by my cassette deck. Great to hear it again.

Crikey. Nostalgia at its most piquant! I got this copied to tape some 15 years ago by a mate (who I suspect is 'Matt G'. That you sir? Get in touch!) and played it to death throughout my late teen years. Like another here - in the car up in the hills (up in smoke) So to finally hear it again is truly joyous! It still remains an absolutly superb mix. Great memories.

Just to add to what has been said. This is the ultimate nostalgia trip for me, in the best possible way. I love this mix. It was goooooood, gooooood times. The best. Taped it and tape was nicked but it is superb to hear it again. I'm such a good mood from just hearing it.......

The Goa Mix changed my life. Decided to party hard after listening to this so I quit my job, went to Uni, went raving, passed my exams and landed a great job. I'm now self employed and rich. All because of music. Quality. Thanks Paul!

This man conceptualised trance with this seminal mix. Recorded this on Radio 1, played to death and tragically lost in '96 when my car was stolen. Discovered it tonight after 14 years on a random tunes reminisce net search. It’s like a reunion with an old friend.
Good skills in delivering the real deal to the masses.
