Sasha Live at Renaissance (4 mixes)
The 'Man Like Sasha' has adopted a new progressive sound that the Renaissance punters adore
Following on from the Sasha Old Skool collection, these four sets see a maturing Sasha playing at his Renaissance residencies in Mansfield and Nottingham. Many fans view this time as the peak of his career (1992 and 1993). These sets serve as a prequile to the ground breaking "Renaissance Mix Collection" released in 1995 with fellow Progressive House master John Digweed.

This was when Sasha rocked before he got into his proggie fase which was a bit dull for my likin. Not sure Mix 3 is Sasha, sounds more like Ossia to me.

A lot of the inspiration for the Mix Collection came from a recording I had of the Renaissance 1st Birthday at Mansfield. Some of the mixes on the Mix Collection were identical to the ones on that recording.
Now... where did that go? It was on DAT as well, so should still sound pretty good!

Hi there Geoff. Great to hear from a promoter legend!
Would be great to get hold of them DATs. I reckon they would fetch a fair penny now that the Mix Collection is held with such esteem. Take care, Phil

So grateful that my formative years overlapped with the era of Sasha, Digweed, etc...

Awesome!! Absolutely loving the choons. Love the fact that I can be listening to a mix and then "THAT" track comes on that i'd completely forgotten about for years but have always had right up there with the best - and then there's a track name for it - superb - now the search begins to find it on vinyl to add to my collection. Nothing quite like the real thing! So looking forward to blasting that out on my SL1210's - next time the wife's out anyway
Keep up the good work guys.
PS - Do you have a mechanism for us to send/upload mixes you might want?
PPS - Sasha Live at Renaissance 1993 Mix 2, full mix track is titled "Live at Renaissance 1992 - Mix 2" - should that not be 1993??

Fantastic stuff - good work on getting all these together, and making them available. Some classic tunes and memories there.
Apologies to get all trainspotter, but I'm pretty sure that "Sasha Live at Renaissance 1992 Mix 2", is in fact Sasha Harmony (1993?). I remember a road trip to Amsterdam, where it got listened to heavily (along with Digweed, Bangkok).
